Why double glazed units fail
Double glazed units are sealed at the edges to keep moisture out and insulation in. Over time, seals can break down. When that happens, condensation forms between the panes, causing a misted or cloudy appearance that can’t be cleaned from the inside or outside.
Common signs of failure
- Condensation trapped between glass panes
- Cloudy or milky appearance inside the glass
- Reduced insulation or cold spots near the window
Glass-only replacement (not full frame)
In most cases, there’s no need to replace the entire window or door. We measure and replace the sealed glass unit only, keeping your existing frame in place. This is usually more cost-effective and far less disruptive.
