Gearbox Replacement in Murton

Recent gearbox replacement job in Murton

We recently attended a property in Murton after a landlord rang to say their tenant couldn't open the front door. A faulty mechanism had jammed the latch solid so it would not retract, and the only option was to grind the latch off to release it. A new mechanism was fitted, tested and working correctly again.

Jobs like this are common when a lock, gearbox, handle or door mechanism starts to fail. Early signs can include stiffness, a handle that will not lift properly, a latch that does not retract, or a door that becomes difficult to secure.
