Gearbox Replacement in Peterlee

Recent gearbox replacement job in Peterlee

Out in Peterlee, we were called out after the customer had been having with her front door forabout a month. Locking/unlocking had become very difficult. This was due to a part that operated the handle snapping off inside the gearbox and aking itvery difficult. This is a very common problem with this particular make. A new gearbox was fitted. Afterwards the door was working smoothly again.

Gearbox faults are one of the most common uPVC door problems we see — the mechanism inside the door edge wears out over time, often starting as stiffness or a handle that will not lift fully before the door stops locking altogether.
