Gearbox Replacement in Seaham

Seaham: Gearbox Replacement completed

A recent job in Seaham came about after the customer could not open the door, even though they could still lock and unlock it. The latch was not retracting correctly; the door was opened non-destructively and a new gearbox was fitted.

Gearbox faults are one of the most common uPVC door problems we see — the mechanism inside the door edge wears out over time, often starting as stiffness or a handle that will not lift fully before the door stops locking altogether.
