Recent gearbox replacement job in Whiteleas

We recently attended a property in Whiteleas where a faulty hook on the gearbox wasn't retracting properly, making the door very difficult to open. A new gearbox was fitted and it was working correctly again.

A failing door gearbox usually gives some warning first: a handle that gets heavier to lift, a door that needs a lift-and-shove to lock, or a latch that stops catching properly. Replacing the gearbox itself is normally all that is needed.
