Why Upstairs Windows Stick

A window that will not open is usually held by its own mechanism: the handle has failed, or the gearbox behind it no longer releases the locking points. Upstairs that matters more, because the window may be needed for air or as a way out. It is released without forcing the frame, and the handle or mechanism replaced.

Other Faults
