The customer in Barnes got in touch after the customer could not open the door. Opened non-destructively. Faulty gearbox. Before leaving, we tested the door following fitting the new gearbox and confirmed it opened, closed and locked correctly.

A failing door gearbox usually gives some warning first: a handle that gets heavier to lift, a door that needs a lift-and-shove to lock, or a latch that stops catching properly. Replacing the gearbox itself is normally all that is needed.
