Gearbox Replacement in Doxford Park

Doxford Park: Gearbox Replacement completed

This Doxford Park job began after the customer couldn't lock their door because of a failed gearbox: the hooks weren't engaging when the handle was lifted. A new gearbox was fitted, tested and working correctly again.

A failing door gearbox usually gives some warning first: a handle that gets heavier to lift, a door that needs a lift-and-shove to lock, or a latch that stops catching properly. Replacing the gearbox itself is normally all that is needed.
