Ford Estate was the scene of a recent callout, after the customer could not open the door. The door was opened non-destructively and the problem was traced to a faulty gearbox. The patio door was working correctly again after fitting the new gearbox.

Gearbox faults are one of the most common uPVC door problems we see — the mechanism inside the door edge wears out over time, often starting as stiffness or a handle that will not lift fully before the door stops locking altogether.
